I’m having trouble distinguishing between what I want to put in my weekly free content and what I want to save to put in my course. Do you have any suggestions?

When it comes to producing free content, my number one piece of advice is to stack the value – your weekly content should knock the socks off your audience. It should be something they would pay you for, but are getting for free.

You’re probably thinking this sounds counterintuitive; shouldn’t you save your best content for your paid product or service? Here’s the thing – I built my business by giving away my best stuff for free. You want your audience to watch your weekly live video or read your blog post and think, Wow! This is so incredibly helpful. If she gives away this much value for free, imagine how powerful her paid stuff must be!

To help determine the difference between your free content and paid product or service, let me share my rule of thumb:

  • Free Content: Introduces the transformation your paid content offers, and gives a taste of that transformation
  • Paid Product or Service: Delivers the full transformation
